The mission of Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology is to advance human capital development via Christian-based scientific inquiry. This is accomplished using an educational, scientific, and technical strategy that ensures that every person has the opportunity to learn about and acquire the resources necessary to put this ideology into practice.

About Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology

The sole women’s university in Kenya is called Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST). As a women-only institution, our primary goal is to close the gender representation gap in higher education while also advancing the nation’s social and economic development. The Commission for University Education (CUE) has certified the university since its founding in 2002.

A prominent and the first women’s university in East Africa, Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology was established in 2002 and is located at Githurai-Mwihoko in Ruiru Sub-County, Kiambu County, just off the Nairobi-Thika Super-Highway.

As emphasized in its vision and mission, the University is committed to upholding its fundamental mandate and distinctive focus of emancipating women. Being a women-only university, it aims to assist women and girls in achieving their goals despite recent marginalization so that they can become contributing members of society. This embodies the proverb that states, “If you educate a woman, you educate a family (nation).”

The university offers its multicultural students programs that are market-oriented and high-quality facilities that are focused on achieving the university’s 2030 objective. The university accepts both sponsored by the government and private students. KWUST is proud to have a postmodern library, well-equipped computer labs, play areas, and a peaceful setting, among other things. The constant demand for and eager adoption by the labor market and industry attest to the adaptability of our alumni.

KWUST is a vibrant university that actively participates in the community to advance knowledge and research that will improve people’s quality of life. The university is delighted to offer courses that are focused on the market and support academic programs to develop graduates with the abilities needed by the global market. This gives its pupils a leading edge in the market in their many fields of specialization.

The University has integrated the use of online platforms to be able to serve the students best and in a dignified manner in light of the current dynamics in the world, which have increased space but with time as a constraint.
