Pan-Atlantic University (PAU)

The campus community and the educational offerings at Pan-Atlantic University both exhibit our institution’s strong Christian identity. The University’s welcoming attitude toward people of all races and religions is a significant aspect of this identity.

To “form competent and committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and social responsibility the community in which they work, thereby contributing to the development of a better society in Nigeria and throughout Africa,” according to the university’s mission statement. The goal of the university is embodied in this dream.

Through the offering of academic programs that are pertinent to the needs of the nation, Pan-Atlantic University aids in the growth of the nation. Everyone is welcome at the university, regardless of their nationality, color, sex, religion, or ethnicity. The University’s extracurricular programs are a component of a larger overall formation program offered there.

The goal of education at the institution is to develop students into well-rounded individuals. Because of this, including a significant number of humanities courses in every curriculum is crucial. The institution also aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in its participants and students through the careful design of its programs. The university strives to develop students who are ardent for the common good, professionally competent, creative, and ambitious, as well as capable of making their judgments in a free and morally upright manner. These students will then work as constructive change agents for society.

The word “university” connotes an openness to all people, ideas, fields of knowledge, and cultures, both near and far, without prejudice.

The university is a setting that encourages and inspires learning as well as an ongoing search for the truth. This requires intellectual effort, intellectual integrity, a drive to learn, and a desire to continuously push oneself past one’s limitations. Additionally, university courses necessitate the development of one’s personality and the habits required for professional and social life.

About Pan-Atlantic University

Located in Lekki, Lagos State, Pan-Atlantic University is a private, nonprofit university. The Lagos Business School (LBS), founded in 1991, served as the foundation for the university. In 2002, the LBS became the institution’s first school after receiving approval from the federal government to operate as a university. In 2003, the Ajah Campus was finished, and in 2010, construction on the Ibeju-Lekki Campus started.

81 artists, including pioneering Nigerian artists like Aina Onabolu and Bruce Onobrakpeya and up-and-coming artists like Richardson Ovbiebo and Babalola Lawson, contributed over 400 works to the website known as the Virtual Museum of Modern Nigerian Art, which was launched by the university in September 2011. Jess Castellote is a Spanish architect. He advocated for expanded commerce with Britain as well as the creation of an African free trade zone. To avoid confusion with the Pan-African University of the African Union, its name was changed to Pan-Atlantic University in May 2013.

On November 17, 2014, the university opened its brand-new Ibeju-Lekki campus and began offering its first undergraduate programs. The Pan-Atlantic University’s art museum, YSMA, will formally open to the public on October 19, 2019, with two concurrent opening exhibitions.
