About Port Said University
Port Said University is a university in Port Said, Egypt. After the Egyptian president decided to create this university and transfer the Suez Canal branch in Port Said to an independent university, it was founded in 2010. The engineering faculty was one of the university’s first faculties, and it was established in 1975 under the supervision of Helwan University. When Suez Canal University was established in 1976, it took over control of the faculty in question. After that, Port Said Governorate added more faculties, eventually reaching a total of four, which led to the decision to establish Port Said University as a branch of the Suez Canal University in 1998.
The Republic President’s decision to establish Port Said University in 2010 was the result of the continued expansion of the faculties, which reached nine educational institutions.
