About Afe Babalola University 

It is situated on 130 hectares of land at an elevation of over 1500 feet above sea level which ipso facto offers the cool and perfect climate for learning and sports doings.

It is the only university in Nigeria, before the issuance of a provisional authorization by the Federal Government of Nigeria, to move to its permanent place and created magnificent College buildings and College Hostels, Staff Quarters fortified with modern teaching facilities with an E-learning platform and electronic sheets within eight months.

Therefore, National Universities Commission (NUC) was so captivated that it labeled the university as a “miracle, model reference, point and benchmark” for other universities.

It is the only university originated by a commended educationist, the twice winner of the best Pro-Chancellor of all universities in Nigeria; A previous Pro-Chancellor of the University of Lagos; Chairman of the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigeria Universities, and an associate of the Club of Rectors of Europe.

How many students does ABUAD admit per year?

Answer: The University’s enrollment has developed from 240 students in January 2009/2010 Academic Session to 8,500 scholars in the September 2020/2021 Academic Session having graduated eight (8) sets of students in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

What is the Jamb cut-off mark for ABUAD?

Answer: The ABUAD overall Cut-Off Mark for the 2022/2023 screening application is 180. All applicants who scored 180 and above in the 2022 JAMB are qualified for admission into ABUAD and to obtain the ABUAD post UTME form.

That it is required for Fresh PRE-MBBS and Law students to stay in a room with 2 beds.

That there are so many candidates looking for admission into PRE-MBBS and Law so making all the school fees be paid at once then provisional admission will be canceled.

Gentle note that the Tuition above is for 300Level MBBS Students only while the Tuition for 400LEVEL MBBS is the same as the Clinical.

DIRECT ENTRY and INTER-UNIVERSITY TRANSFER STUDENTS are to pay the same sum with the FRESH UNDERGRADUATES.

When is the Post UTME form coming out for ABUAD?

Answer: The Management of the ABUAD has publicized 2nd May 2022 as the newest commencing date for the sales of the 2022/2023 Post UTME Screening Application form.

Who founded ABUAD?

Answer: Afe Babalola, CON, OFR, SAN (born 30 October 1929) is a Nigerian lawyer and originator of Afe Babalola University. Afe Babalola was born in Ekiti State South Western Nigeria. He attended Emmanuel Primary School, Ado Ekiti. He registered for the Senior Cambridge School Certificate examination by a private study from Wolsey Hall, Oxford. He later got an A’Level certificate from London University before he continued to the London School of Economics where he received a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He functioned briefly at the Central Bank of Nigeria before he left for the University of London where he got a bachelor’s degree in Law. In 1963, he was called to the England bar, the same year he became a member of Lincoln’s Inn, London.

What are the requirements for ABUAD?

Answer: UNILAG admission requirements through UTME 

Applicants must have reached the age of 16.

Applicants must have at least 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O’level result (s). This must contain English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects connected to their course of study. For example, an Applicant that wants to study law must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and Literature in English.

Applicants must score at least 180 in the JAMB UTME examination.

Applicants must take the ABUAD post UTME screening examination and must attain very well in the examination (Dependent on the course of study)

Not more than ONE sitting result is acknowledged for admission into the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD).

Candidates must choose the correct subject combination for their courses.

·         Lastly, applicants must meet the specified cutoff marks for their paths to gain admission into the university.

ABUAD admission necessities thru Direct Entry 

Applicants must have at least five (5) Credits in their O’level result. This must contain English Language and Mathematics. Though, two sitting result is not allowed.

Applicants must have also reached the age of 16.

Applicants are anticipated to get a JAMB Directly entry form from JAMB to apply.

Applicants should have any of the following credentials: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, ICAN
