About Debre Markos University

In Debre Markos, Ethiopia’s Amhara Region, there is a public research institution called Debre Markos University (DMU). Since its establishment in 2005, it has experienced rapid growth.

Ethiopia’s Debre Markos University (DMU) is a public research university. DMU is situated in an area with favorable weather, and an abundance of natural resources, including the Upper Blue Nile Gorge and the water shade of the Choke Mountains, which includes six different agro-ecological zones within a 50 km (31 mi) radius and is the source of numerous tributaries to the Nile. In January 2005, DMU was founded. Two years later, DMU officially became Debre Markos University and began the teaching-learning process with 760 regular students, 53 academic and 34 support staff members, and 21 contract employees.

DMU offers 51 undergraduate, 47 graduate, and 2 Ph.D. programs in traditional, continuing, and distant learning at the moment. Three locations host these programs: the Debre Markos Main Campus, the Burie Campus, and the Bichena Campus, both in Burie. DMU has held 11 rounds of graduation ceremonies for first- and second-degree programs, supplying talented and competitive graduates to local, national, and worldwide organizations. 126 medical doctors graduated in three rounds in addition to these. Currently, there are three campuses, five colleges, two schools, and three institutes at the institution.

A. Entry Requirments:

1. Regular Student

A new regular student should be familiar with the following:
