About Redeemers University 

The university was originated by the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 2005. Ruled by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, a Ph.D. holder in applied mathematics.

The Federal Government of Nigeria approved a functioning license to the Redeemer’s University on 7 January 2005.

To understand its dream, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the Proprietors of the university, originally developed a large expanse of land in Ede, Osun state, having gotten the Certificate of Statutory Right of Occupancy in 1997. The spot of the university shields an area of about 812 hectares (2,010 acres).

The university took off at the impermanent place in the Redemption Camp on 11 October 2005 with 478 students acknowledged into three colleges. On 1 February 2006, 473 students matriculated into the colleges to track bachelor’s degrees in various programs, and the university has shaped 13 sets of graduates.

Who founded RUN?

Answer: Redeemed Christian Church of God. The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Pentecostal megachurch and denomination that originated in Lagos, Nigeria. The General overseer (most senior pastor) is Enoch Adeboye, intended in 1981. The church in Lagos has an average church-attending of 100,000. The RCCG was fashioned in 1952 by Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi (1909–1980) following his participation in other churches. Rev. Akindayomi selected Enoch Adejare Adeboye as the next General overseer. Enoch Adeboye was a lecturer in mathematics at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, at the time he joined the church in 1973. Adeboye initially became one of the interpreters interpreting Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English. He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1975, and his position as the leader (General overseer) of the church was formal by the posthumous reading of Akindayomi’s closing statement. In 1990, the Redeemed Christian Church of God Bible School originated.

In 1981, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye became the General Overseer of the Church. In 1983, the land for the Redemption Camp in Mowe was acquired. In 1988, a student body known as the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) was recognized. It is the youth wing of the church focused on tertiary institutions of learning in the country. In 1990, Christ the Redeemer’s Friends Universal (CRFU), was recognized to garner financial and human resources from the very wealthy in the society. In 2005, Redeemer’s University was established.

Answer: RUN admission requirements through UTME 

Applicants must have reached the age of 16.

Applicants must have at least 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O’level result (s). This must contain English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects associated with their course of study. For example, an Applicant that wants to study law must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and Literature in English.

Applicants must score at least 180 in the JAMB UTME examination.

Applicants must take the RUN post UTME screening examination and must perform very well in the examination (Depending on the course of study)

Not more than ONE sitting result is acknowledged for admission into the Redeemer’s University (RUN).

Applicants must choose the precise subject grouping for their courses.

Lastly, applicants must meet the specified cutoff marks for their courses to gain admission into the university.

RUN admission requirements through Direct Entry 

Applicants must hold at least five (5) Credits in their O’level result. This must contain English Language and Mathematics. Though, two sitting result is not allowed.

Applicants must have also reached the age of 16.

Applicants are anticipated to get a JAMB Directly entry form from JAMB to apply.

Applicants should have any of the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, ICAN
