The University of Abobo-Adjamé (UAA), also known as Université d’Abobo-Adjamé or the University of Abobo-Adjamé, is one of two public institutions in Abidjan, the city and economic hub of Côte d’Ivoire. It is situated in the city’s Abobo and Adjamé neighborhoods. The University was established in 1996 and has about 6,500 students studying experimental and basic sciences (Maths, Science) (Physics, Chemistry, and Biosciences). Abobo-Adjamé University also provides training in the health sciences. Armed conflict on March 13–14, 2011, destroyed the university.
