Undergraduate Requirements

All standard undergraduate program placements are handled by the Ministry of Education. The Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE) results, the student’s choice, and the departmental, school, and center capacity are all taken into consideration by the institution when admitting students to the various programs. The ministry of education must certify that the results of foreign exams are equivalent to the EHEECE. The University Registrar processes admissions and enrolments for all programs after consulting with the relevant academic divisions and after the judgment of the Senate standing committee known as the Admission and Enrollment Committee (AEC).

Postgraduate Requirements

Academic performance and qualities needed by the academic units for the program must be met to be admitted to graduate programs. The university must give preference to applicants from public higher education institutions when admitting students to the majority of its graduate programs.

  • pass an entrance exam that is based on the program’s curriculum

Extension/Distance/Weekend Undergraduate

An applicant may attend the undergraduate extension/distance program in one of four categories: those who have completed preparatory high school, TVET (10+3 and 10+4), COC test result level 3 and higher, and those who hold a bachelor’s degree.
