About Misurata University

One of Libya’s public institutions, Misurata University, is situated in the country’s third-largest city. The university offers nationally and internationally acclaimed educational services that give the academic community’s members the skills and morals they need to do their part for the country. The university provides more than 150 undergraduate courses and has 19 distinct faculties spread out around the city. It aims to give its employees and students higher education and quality training so they may contribute to upgrading and developing the country’s society and economy. Misurata University also seeks to improve knowledge through research and other ways, as well as to apply ideas and proposals to issues in the areas of business, society, culture, and technology.

Misurata University was first founded in 1984. 

Based on the General People’s Committee No. (149) decision for the year 2010 AD for reforming Libyan universities, the University of the Seventh of October and the University of Al-Merqib were merged to form Misurata University in 2010.
